Review: I found this to be a truly remarkable film that explores so many things. It is very strong, when I came out of the cinema I felt like I was a stranger prowl around. I found myself watch other people in the same way that foreign detached (Scarlett Johansson) in film.we see the world from the perspective of foreigners for the most part. This impassiveness is sometimes shocking, like total indifference to the fate of a child 18 months old and sometimes darkly humorous. The film works well as a study of people's behavior when they are on brink of sexual encounter. Some are remarkably naff. Some are nervous, anxious and avoidant. Although the film has its detached air, gaze subject of aliens are shown in reality. That total sense of reality in the film is really impressive. I read somewhere that some of the scenes are of people who are interacting with Scarlett Johansson properly, they were secretly recorded. But these scenes are not visible in any way from the rest of the film. The entire film feels incredibly real than aliens are prowling our readers Contrastingly unreal.Other must say that the film borrows or imitates some other directors. I think that to some extent, but not much. It is a nod to Stanley Kubrik in the beginning, is actually a brilliant nod, but really the only things Kubrikesque about the film. People like to make comparisons with Nicholas Roeg, but I can not see any Roeg film. The story is similar for Man Who Fell to Earth, of course, but there are many similarities in the way the two films directed. The director of the movie reminds me most of the Andrei Tarkovsky. But mostly this film is very original, really work Glazer.Scotland Jonathan was the perfect spot for this movie. Rain, fog opaque and thick forest all made perfect backgrounds for the aliens traveled together. Glasgow also due to foreign ideal replacement. The young male Glaswegians are full of life and foreigners are happy to suck the life out of them. |
