Review: Sometimes I feel the filmmakers have lost their way. The formula works and is primarily important as we get blockbuster carbon copy appeals to the masses clearly showing disregard this movie is all about: the story visually. And then a film comes as Philomena and reminds us of the magic that can happen when a real craftsman and artist skillfully combining ingredients based on the history, character, camera and music in? exciting and powerful piece of art. This film is satisfactory at all levels and gives me hope that some people will always know what to do when they take the money and do their job effectively. People on it must be very proud of their efforts. |
