Review: An aspiring writer struggles with his love life, an apartment in chaos, a lifestyle and a block of expensive writers are left without hope after discharge for his ineptitude. He stumbles upon a former acquaintance who introduces him to an experimental drug that could change his life forever. The proposal intriguing story centers around this pharmaceutical experiment which optimizes the use of the brain to 100% from 20% lean that we normally use. The problem as soon discover is that the supply is limited ..... and try restricted.Eddie (Bradley Cooper) 's writing a novel in vain, and his inability to go in search of refinement is evident in his apartment, his relationship with his girlfriend otherwise focused employees and its finances. In such a predicament, he runs into his former brother in law, which introduces an experimental drug design that enhances the functionality of the brain to use its full potential. Although it is confronted by his wife, the owners who yak with him for hiring on hold, Eddie chooses a clever escape, taking one of the pills, and then, everything he has seen, heard, read or experienced in his life at his disposal as a reference. Acquiring knowledge is fast and so is its preservation. Eddie soon discovers that he can achieve the impossible as Bruce Almighty and greed takes over, trying to take advantage of the financial markets to make some astronomical gains. Overnight success attracts the prying eyes of the ambitious and Eddie had to keep a low profile if you do not want to expose his secret to his phenomenal analytical skills. Veteran investor Carl Loon (Robert De Niro) takes Eddie and gives it an incredible opportunity to make it to the big league in a very short time. Just when everything seems to be going his way, Eddie discovers that the pills have a negative effect on his health and without a regular intake, it would almost lose his life. To add to that, he is chased by a thug who now know the secret to its top capacity and require multiple pills for themselves. There is always some danger lurking around the corner, limitless. Although the idea of ââan intelligence enhancing medication seems like the ultimate strength, it always feels restless and is aware of some kind of imminent danger. It seems too good to be true, and that is primarily what grabs you by the well-paced screenplay. The film looks great with the camera at full speed through the streets and breathtaking views of the city of New York. The atmosphere is similar to Neil Burgers previous film, The Illusionist, and it's just as exciting, if not more. The background score is suitable for film pulsate situations. The beautiful Abbie Cornish plays the tense situations quite well, and in scenes of confrontation with Cooper, emerging stronger. Robert De Niro gets some kind of role Michael Douglas, where he seems to enjoy throwing his power around. Good to see him threaten the people around him because that is what they do best ..... Bradley Cooper completes took the opportunity where he can play a clear edge, and he is quite convincing as both writer and the man who fights the coolest cities with greater intelligence. Director Neil Burger keeps the momentum, keep us with excitement, action and plot twists. A new idea is simple in design and easy to absorb as a reality from the start. It does avoid the scenarios superficial and unnecessary drama and choose to portray the hardships Eddie met while he holds such power. Limitless entertains with the possibilities and consequences of uncontrollable forces. But in the end, Inception is not narrative or concept, and if you are with unrealistic expectations, you will surely disappoint, but due credit should be given to Neil Burger for a smooth implementation of the concept that even in the end, do not fall flat on its face. |
