Review: I saw this movie with virtually no expectations, but I managed to be very disappointed. With the relevant actors such as Ethan Hawke and Lena stubborn, and the assumption that (at least for me) sounded interesting, I really do not know how they managed to beat him so much.Its predictable to the point of being ridiculous, and family characters seem cut out a pattern on the the main cinema. And the bad guys bring something new to the table, copying home invasion psychopaths of Funny Games, The Strangers, etc. (2 examples of it being done right, in my opinion). I think that this movie got a free trip to the hype collected online with a slick campaign and greater noise Twitter, proving that all the film really needs to make it short, clever slogan and people's imagination and expectation creates rest.Too bad for the interesting idea. Can not help thinking that maybe another director couldve done something memorable with it. |
