Review: Derek Cianfrance famous for mesmerizing film Blue Valentine (2010) is back again to give us the heart to see the lasting effects of the decisions we make. The Place Beyond The Pines is a thriller that spans from generation to generation - a beautiful family drama. Quite possibly the most ambitious film The Place Beyond the Pines is about Luke (Gosling), a motorcycle stunt rider performing in a low-class carnival. While Gosling tattooed carnival passes New York he runs into an old roll, Romina (Eva Mendes) and was surprised to find in his absence, she gave birth to her son. Stunning cinematography films brought to us by Sean Bobbitt (Shame), his work is only interesting to watch; each shot is handled with such precision. This film is colored, the heart, above all, innovative. This intense drama layered with father and son Cianfrance had secured a position as one of the best. That's really told. 8.5/10
